I appreciate English might not be the editor’s first language, but the word “neutrally” in English generally means trying to present something in an unbiased or non prejudicial way, considering both sides and not being judgmental with regards to a topic.
The title of Herr Ramm’s talk seems to be “Lying with Statistics” (I am not a native German speaker).
That is the opposite of “neutral”, instead, that is extremely judgmental, accusatory and biased.
In addition, calling the folks who engage in gender analysis based on OSM data “outsiders” is equally biased, dismissive and insulting.
If you wish to be honest, you will remove the word “neutrally” to describe his talk, since at least based on the title and talk description, it seems to be very from neutral.
There were lots of ways to approach the topic of analyzing OSM data and meta-data to try and understand some social questions, but calling analysis you disagree with or fail to understand “lying” is about the worst approach of which I can think.
Perhaps I misunderstand something given this talk is not in a language I speak, so I am certainly open to an explanation about how titling a talk “Lying with Statistics” is really a neutral title.
